Giada Curti knows haute couture intimately. Her grandmother, also owner of an atelier, instilled in her granddaughter at a very young age a love of the art of fashion. Giada transformed her childhood reverie into a dream to be worn. When Giada grew up, she married Antonio Curti, owner of the atelier bearing his name and for which over fifty-years has represented a point of reference for high fashion bridal wear in Italy. Together they have transformed the company into an internationally renowned brand founded in passion and Italian craftmanship. Their Atelier Romano is near Piazza di Spagna in the heart of Rome, Italy where Giada also presented her 2012 / 2013 haute couture collections. Today, Curti’s masterful creations can be found in the most elegant boutiques in Italy and abroad in locations such as Dubai, New York, Moscow and Tokyo. Earlier this year I had the pleasure of taking a front row seat for Giada Curti’s 2012 / 2013 haute couture fashion show in Toronto direct from Italy at the stunning Liberty Grand Complex on Lake Ontario in the grand ballroom.
